The Montecristo Churchill is refined and sophisticated. Long, fat, and subtly flavored, it’s a cigar made for the real connoisseurs.

This cigar may be slightly spongy at first, so you will want to age it in your humidor and firm it up before lighting.

Montecristo Churchill Overview

Delivering consistently productive smoke and very complex flavor, the Churchill is an excellent choice for those who take their cigars seriously.

The Churchill takes commitment. It smokes for up to two hours and its complexity is lost on beginners. But for a cigar connoisseur who’s looking for subtle flavor shifts backed with an overall creaminess, this is an ideal stick.

Smoking a Montecristo Churchill

A heavier cigar than most, the Montecristo Churchill is well made with a crack in the foot’s wrapper. The pre-light aromas feature hay, tea, honey, and dried fruit like apricots and raisins.

After lighting, this cigar immediately produces an excellent smoke output. The first third exudes elements of earthy, nutty wood. There’s a honey tang and a peppery bite on the retrohale.

The second and final thirds exhibit subtle shifts of well-maintained flavor, so while smokers enjoy transitions from creaminess to slightly floral pepper, the change is very well-balanced.

This stick gives off white ash, a bit flaky at first, but the burn line quickly straightens out. The Montecristo Churchill offers mellow sweet flavors built on one another with a slightly charred wood bite on the exhale.

Cigar Value

This cigar ages well in the humidor and, since it’s one of the five classic Montecristo, is consistently seen as a valuable purchase.

Montecristo Churchill Experience

Much more of a connoisseur's cigar than one for a novice, the Montecristo Churchill requires time and a refined palette. Those who know their cigars will pick out delightfully slight shifts in flavor from sweet to peppery, all with a trademark underlying creaminess.
