Smoking a Trinidad Vigia
The Colorado Claro wrapper of the Trinidad Vigia has invisible seams and very few veins, with a slight spring to the touch. The wrapper smells of hay and pepper and has the renowned pigtail cap of the Trinidad brand.
The stick fires up quickly with a medium body and lots of smoke. The tastes are bready and sweet with a dash of white pepper rounding it off. An umami meatiness is introduced, balancing well with the coffee and strengthening pepper.
The retrohale is worth mentioning at this point, as it’s rare to find a stick that’s improved by the flavor of its retrohale, but this one is an exception.
Through the middle third, the cigar grows in flavor until it reaches a medium level – an outstanding flavor that leaves a slight sizzle on the tongue.

Very special cigarPersonally, for me Trinidad are the true premium Cuban cigars. I know lots of people love Cohibas but there’s something magical about a Trinidad cigar and for that reason, I’ll always pick this cigar over other premium Cubans. The Vigia is a brilliant after dinner smoke. If you love Cuban cigars this is definitely one you must try. Thank you Swiss cigars!!
