Smoking a Romeo y Julieta Pirámides Añejados
With a shiny wrapper and a thick spongy consistency, the Pirámides Añejado sports a flawless, round triple cap. This stick offers an easy draw and has an even and consistent burn line throughout its 60 minute smoke time.
Pre-lit, the cigar evokes notes of toffee and cacao backed by hay and cedar. The first draws introduce caramel and honey overlaid on an earthy backdrop.
With medium-strength flavors, the stick opens up in the middle third into a complexity of different tastes – dried fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, and leather – but is perfectly balanced. The middle third rounds out to a level sweetness with a medium body, pulling in honey and caramel tastes with a cedar hint.
The stick finishes with a kick, growing bolder in strength and body in the final third but still well-balanced without excess bitterness.
