Every 1935 Maltes features aged Vuelta Abajo tobaccos from Cuba's best tobacco-growing region, Pinar del Rio. A wonderful experience I first discovered these cigars at the bar of the Palace Hotel in Barcelona, and fell in love with them. The first two shipments from Swisscuban were seized by customs, but even before I was notified by the customs people, Swisscuban proactively wrote to tell me that they had already dispatched another box. The third time was a charm! (I should mention that I've ordered from them several times in the past, and this was the first order ever to have a problem at customs, so it doesn't seem to be a common problem.) Montecristo 1935 Maltes - The New Style The 1935 line from Montecristo is their best. I absolutely love these Maltes (they are my favorite out of the 3). A full-body experience that all cigar aficionados need to experience. Mr 1935 series surely is different from the regular Montecristo. The wrapper flavor is complex , the cigar structure is firm and the draw is smooth.
